Post Python SOAP libraries, Part 4

The last time ZSI was covered in this column, it was version 1.2. ZSI has enjoyed a recent spate of activity including the contributions for other developers besides the lead Rich Salz. It is now in version 1.4.1 and has added some WSDL support. Uche Ogbuji and Scott Archer take a look at these new developments and also discover a third-party wrapper option for ZSI. Read Python SOAP libraries, Part 4 tutorial here.

Hi,

Thanks to md_doc suggestion about SOAP library using Python, i could find the SOAPpy_0_12_0 library to be used with my mApache Server.

Now, i would like to know how do i deploy/install the library in the Device 6800.So, please answer my following questions.

1. The library comes in the form of so many .py files. So, should i just transfer the files one by one to the device or Is there a way by which i can make a mobile installable i.e .sis or any other file using the .py files as input.

2. I also read about infomation like fpconst and pyXML installables to be deployed before the SOAPpy installation. The link to fpconst does not contain any installables. Can someone provide me the same?Should both the installables need to be installed in the device?

Please let me know. I am waiting for your reply.

The Web Services for Python Project provides libraries for developing web services using the python programming language. The libraries implement the various protocols used when writing web services including SOAP, WSDL, and other related protocols.
